help me value a car for a friend

my friend has asked me to help me value a ford escort that her parents have owned from new.
its

First registered 29.10.1991
Ford Escort s injection
67000 miles (genuine mileage and still on 1st time round the clock)
3 door hatchback
1596cc Petrol
White – Escort EFI

its in excellent condition with full service history etc
they are looking to sell as they have a new car

These were shit even when new :| :|

To be fair the Zetec engine in them is pretty good, and kept going in the same spec in the Focus after- they do real high miles if looked after.
But the Escort was not rust proofed like the later cars so they do rot...this one sounds alright for a cheap run-about, a few hundred quid?

Like the Mk 1 and 2 before it, the Mk3 has reached rock bottom and is now starting to gain in value and desirability.

It's a 3 door, so a good donor shell, the motor is a popular donor in a lot of projects and kits, was looking at a zetec powered herald t'other day.

Bung it on ebay - it would be a shame to see it bangered.

Yes I never thought I'd say that about a mk3 escort - hateful hateful things.
