Y'know its kinda ironic, 10 years ago I was just up the road from that spot at instow at the car boot they had at Swimbridge. I got talking to a guy who was shipping out of England and that and some TV programmes started me off wanting to do the same. Having visited the beaches here before I knew that southwest France was the place I would like to settle and I have been here with Mrs frog for 5 years now ... love it too, so laid back and empty roads to die for

However when I see pictures like the ones posted here I get all nostalgic for North Devon again, ain't we odd creatures

Hi bud, if ur coming from Bideford just hang a left just before the road closed sign, then first right, follow it along and in brings you out on the Swimming pool/Dartington Crystal road and misses out all the chaos.

Hey Rich, you might be a little interested in this...............

Image

Back in 92 my mates dad finished building this (full on one off custom built jobby) and as soon as I passed my test he chucked us the keys and let us use it as we saw fit.....many many miles later after we'd torn around the countryin it he stored it up and left it for nearly twenty years.

He put it back on the road recently with a Gordini engine in it

Those were the days!!!

When it used to rain we had to stop and put up a fishing brolley and wait for it to stop
