 & so heres a bit of the work so .........
the original shock mount had been cut off, when the air ride system was mounted, so
the remains had to be ground back first & the new mounts welded, painted & new shocks
fitted

the gear box then went back in, with some borrowed torsion bars (590mm long pair needed ) spring plate & rebuilt brake /hubs,

Then after resisting the bling for a few weeks the polish then came out , just to see what the paints like beneath 8)

The single cab is in good company with Buster my RHD '67 Early Bay double cab & a customers '78 LHD double cab

After sitting outside for a few years the paint work was looking a little bit in need, but it comes up really well

I then had my mate "Fasty", come round to traditionally sign write the truck, I love watching it come together, I wanted it to look old but not to distressed as the paint work is shiny, so I asked him to do it in a single coat, so its slightly thinner as you look across each letter & reminds me of how my Dad's old work vans used to look after a few years, so really pleased.
