Its been a long time since I have posted anything on here so here goes.

I have been pretty busy over the last 4 years but slowly and surely I have got there with the beetle. Since the last post, even more tinworm has been removed and even more new metal cut and welded in. The whole car was shotblasted and put in primer so looked like it was moving along just nicely but then left untouched for several months. This is the point that I could rant about a couple of people who screwed me over on the way but I wont because nobody wants to hear that.

late last year I moved the beetle to a new bodyshop where work started again with full enthusiasm.

She came home in the early summer and since then I have been putting her back together, a much longer process than I first imagined, possible due to me sourcing original parts and being a bit of a perfectionist.

Through this chapter in 'The Big Book of Steve' there has been a lot of blood sweat and tears, and a trip to minor injuries unit . There have been early mornings and there have been late nights. Its been a real roller-coaster of a ride, a massive learning curve and something that I am pretty proud of.

Today marks the day that after 20 years off the road, stored in several different garages around the country, Miss G can celebrate her 51st birthday as 'road legal' once again with a clean MOT, tax and insurance.

So much for a 6 month project hey...

Without further ado, please let me introduce you to Miss G...

What a lovely lovely beetle, very jealous of that, really well done. I would have that at the drop of a hat!
